 Simon Armitage founded the practice in September 1979, following several years in Local Government, firstly in Maidenhead, and subsequently with Mid Devon District Council.

The main areas of work undertaken at that time were primarily domestic conveyancing and Town and Country planning work, being the main areas Simon had been involved with in Local Government.

We have deliberately stayed small, rather than expanding extensively, as we have found that clients appreciate being able to reach the person dealing with their case quickly. In this respect we believe that we have a significant advantage over larger firms.
